Globe Link Associates Ltd. was established by Capt A F M Rahamatul Bari. Prior to setting up Meridian Shipping Services Group, Capt A F M Rahamatul Bari. was the Executive Vice President of a multi-national shipping company, responsible for container liner agency business within the Southeast Asian region.

Meridian Shipping Services Group's core business is container liner agency and port agency services. Other value-added businesses of the Group include:
